• All forms of excremen

• Asbestos or material containing asbestos (accepted at Hidden Valley and LRI Landfill only - must be double-bagged) (See Asbestos Policy)

• Automobile bodies or boat hulls over 25'

• Barrels, drums, and other large liquid containers whether empty or full

• Biomedical waste, including sharps from commercial businesses (medical clinics, institutions, etc.). Sharps from residential sources are accepted in designated receptacles on site and must be placed in a marked, ridged and closed container. Please refer to Sharps Brochure.

• Ceiling tiles, vermiculite insulation and blown-in insulation (See Asbestos Policy)

• Chemicals or other materials which may create hazardous working conditions

• Coated or uncoated wire or cable in excess of 1% by weight of any load

• Commercial loads of dry cell batteries

• Desktop computers, computer monitors, notebook computers, desktop printers, fax machines, televisions, audio & video system, non-cellular telephone & answering machines, home theatre

• Dusty loads including sawdust, mill flour dust, lime dust, etc.

• Explosive substances

• Fabricated objects wider or thicker than 1.2m (4ft) and longer than 2.5m (8ft)

• Flourescent light bulbs & tubes that cna be recycled

• Hazardous wastes (i.e. pathogenic and radioactive materials)

• Hazardous wastes as defined by the Hazardous Waste Regulation of the Environmental Management Act

• Heavy, solid objects (i.e. concrete, asphalt, engine blocks, transmissions, etc.)

• Inflammable materials

• Insulation that is not double-bagged

• Liquid wastes and sludges

• Lumber, timber, logs, etc., longer than 2.5m (8ft)

• Materials accepted for recycling (see Acceptable Recycling Materials)

• Materials hot enough to start combustion

• Paints, solvents, flammable liquids, gasoline and pesticides

• Small electrical appliances (e.g. kitchen countertop, time measurement, weight measurement, garment care, air treatment, floor care, and personal care products)

• Smoke alarms, carbon monoxide (CO) alarms and combination smoke and CO alarms that perform a detection and alarm sounding function

• Solid objects larger in cross section than 3,500cm2 (3.8ft2) if longer than 2.5m (8ft)

• Waste oil, petroleum by-products, used oil filters, used oil containers
